Athens-Optional excursions
All-day trip to the Greek capital - the cradle of European culture, in the Acropolis program, Plaka district, changing of the guard at the Parliament (former Royal Palace) with the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Panathean Stadium - the site of the first modern Olympic Games in 1896. It is the only stadium built of white marble. Then, passing Zappeion and the Temple of Olympian Zeus, we will pass the Athens Trilogy, which includes the University of Athens, the Academy of Athens and the National Library. Next we pass the National Garden, Hadrian's Arch, Church of St. Paul, Parliament, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, House of Schliemann (Numismatic Museum), Catholic Cathedral, Old Parliament, Constitution Square, Russian Orthodox Church, and finally ACROPOLIS (visit Propylae, Temple of Athena Nike, Parthenon, Erechtheion with Porch of the Virgin). We will continue sightseeing Athens by visiting the Acropolis Museum, Herodion theater and Dionysos. At the museum you will have an opportunity to admire exhibits and artifacts that are almost 3,000 years old.
